ABOUT THE BLACK MAMBA ANTI-POACHING UNIT
The Black Mambas are the world’s first all-female anti-poaching unit, and they operate on the front lines of conservation on the western border of the world-famous Kruger National Park. Their vital patrols involve checking the perimeter fences for signs of poaching activity and removing deadly wildlife snares from within their area of operation.
YOUR SPONSORSHIP REALLY DOES HELP PROTECT RHINOS
The Black Mambas efforts have contributed to a notable reduction in rhino poaching and have played a significant role in reducing snaring and poisoning of wildlife in their areas of operation. With their Bush Babies programme, the Black Mambas play a vital role in the community, raising awareness in the surrounding villages and communities of the rhino poaching crisis.
When you sponsor a Black Mamba patrol or a Bush Babies lesson, you will be helping with:
- Keeping the Black Mambas operational and on anti-poaching duty
- Facilitating their expansion into a larger area to protect more wildlife
- Educating local children on the importance of wildlife conservation
- Playing a role on the front line of anti-poaching – without leaving your front room!
A small percentage of your sponsorship will be used to cover administration and operating costs.
