Join Helping Rhinos as a Rhino Guardian and help us to protect sustainable populations of rhino in their natural habitat
Become a Rhino Guardian
Welcome to Rhino Guardians from Helping Rhinos, a programme where loyal supporters are invited to join a special group of like-minded and dedicated conservationists who are committed to helping and protecting the rhino in its natural habitat.
Rhino Guardians generously give an annual donation at one of three levels of giving, to support the work of Helping Rhinos, a leading international rhino conservation charity. You will be invited to quarterly ‘Guardian Gatherings’, an interactive online meeting with the Helping Rhinos CEO and a member of the Board of Trustees, where you will have the opportunity to comment on the charity’s vision and strategy to deliver ‘Rhino Strongholds’. You will also hear directly from, and be able to ask questions to, some of our project teams in the field to understand the vital work on the ground that your support is enabling.
This regular philanthropic gift gives Helping Rhinos the financial means and security to plan for the future and to deliver our vision of sustainable rhino populations in ‘Rhino Strongholds’.
When you join one of these three Rhino Guardian Giving Levels, you will enjoy some incredible benefits as described below.
If you would like to donate a larger, bespoke amount to support rhino conservation where it is needed most, then we can create a tailored proposal for your Private Foundation, Family Trust, Business/Corporate CSR or any other philanthropic interest. Please contact Helping Rhinos’ CEO Simon Jones at [email protected] to discuss the options in more detail.
YOUR IMPACT AS A RHINO GUARDIAN
When you sign up to a Rhino Guardian Membership you are enabling Helping Rhinos to continue it’s critical work of creating ‘Rhino Strongholds’ – expanding wild spaces for wildlife. You will be enabling the charity to bring together rhino conservationists from across Africa to deliver a shared vision of a safe and sustainable future for rhino in their natural habitat.
Helping Rhinos has forged a reputation internationally for its thought leadership and contribution to key rhino conservation initiatives which include:
- The protection of the largest population of Eastern black rhino in the world.
- Creation and running of the only rhino rescue and rehabilitation in KwaZulu-Natal.
- The expansion of key rhino habitats that has enabled the introduction of black rhino to areas it has not inhabited for many decades.
- The creation and operation of the Black Mambas, the world’s first all female anti-poaching unit.
- The building of Early Development Centre schools’ facilities the delivery of effective conservation learning.
- In the past 12 years, Helping Rhinos has had a significant impact in the protection of rhino within our areas of operation and the expansion of wildlife habitat. But the preservation of rhino and their habitat has never been more important!
Over the next five years, Helping Rhinos aims to significantly expand our areas of operation and deliver the positive impact that will have on the protection of rhino and their habitat. That means we’ll need to significantly increase our support base, and significantly increase our current level of income.
The future of free roaming rhino in Africa is at risk if we do not succeed in our mission and reach our goals
We can only achieve our ambitious but critical goal with ongoing support from people and organisations around the world. As a Rhino Guardian, your membership will play a vital role in enabling us to achieve that goal and to keep rhinos roaming freely in ‘Rhino Strongholds’.
